In short, i don't think recipe domains generally hold much value regardless of the exacts, perhaps if developed with some ads you may make a few quid.

Fair enough, have bought the one with highest exacts and will throw a site up and see what happens.

More attractive opportunitiesare available in other sectors IMO. However, if you're really good at giving cooking advice I expect you could generate some revenue.

I've just got cheese sauce ranking #1 in google - very similar...

Although the site's design doesn't really get a big adsense CTR - the CPC has varied from £.10p to £.23p.

I think I could probably get the CTR up to around 2% - it's hovering around .7% at the moment.

If you think £30 per month is OK then go for it...
