Reg & Renewal Dates Are Different on A .me.uk

I noticed on a domain while browsing whois (you.me.uk) that the Registered on and the Renewal dates are different. E.G. instead of being registered for 2 years, it is registered for 2 years and 7 days from new.

Relevant dates:
Registered on: 14-Jan-2002
Renewal date: 21-Jan-2008

You can renew domains - I think - up to 30 days before they are up for renewal.
