Hi

Is anyone elso getting the V194 error when using the new account-id template. I've tried numerous variations e.g below and all give the same error:
V194 - operation blocked...

pgp extracted & details changed for obvious reasons.

---
operation: request
key: anunreggeddomain.co.uk
account-id: 1*****
---
operation: request
key: anunreggeddomain.co.uk
dns0: NULL
account-id: 1*****
-----
operation: request
key: anunreggeddomain.co.uk
dns0: ns1.fastpark.net
dns1: ns2.fastpark.net
account-id: 1*****
-----

plus a few other variations. They've suggested using the long template and merging account but that makes a mockery of the upgrade.

Any ideas. Using the above with automaton-test-xxx.co.uk gives success!

The request works for me but trying TAG changes to some TAGs Is giving me the v194 error. Did they explain what that error code actually means?

No

Wonder if it's because I have more than 1 tag on the same membership.

Whatever, nothing on account-id works for me, and I went through all the pre-launch merging and account updates.

Left it with them. The response this time had better not be 'use the long template' or my reply will be straight to Jay!

Just spoke to Nominet regarding my problem. The domains Im trying to release are part of a mass transfer, their new procedure is that once the mass transfer form has been requested the domains are blocked from being released until the transfer is complete !?!

Still waiting for a response to mine. Still think it's multi-tag or account set up issues.

Just wont let me reg on my account-id

They need to sort their error codes out - v194 for our totally different problems is not helpful!

PRSS > bulk transfer form request = entire tagholder shutdown on sales :)

If I chose to do them as 3 individual transfers then this new procedure would not apply - a very odd change.

Also, as registrars don't seem to have been informed of this change they dont seem to be checking for this error. One of the domains was with ukreg, as far as their system is concerned the domain has been released to the new TAG and is no longer in my control panel so now I've got to waste my time contacting their support.............

Grant, I am also getting this error - I called nominet just now and they told me because of there new systems "if the domain names are currently beeing transferred, then you cannot change the tag until the ownership has been changed over.

So my buyer has to send the bulk transfer forms back and then when nominet change the ownership over - I will be able to change the tags.

So if you have sold any names, before you get nominet to send the bulk transfer form - move the tags, otherwise you will have to wait until the ownership has been changed over.

I hope this helps

Try just 'transfering' it back in again on their control panel.

Try just 'transfering' it back in again on their control panel.

I did and it gives an error message:

Cannot collect IPS for domain name............

So its stuck in Limbo for the time being, thanks Nominet........

That's what you get for trying to register domains that a nun's already got.

I am still getting:
V194 Operation blocked by Nominet process
on tag releases!

argh.

They have really made a cock up because what if you requested a bulk form and the sale doesnt go through, you cant move the tags for months because there are in the transfer procees, as soon as you request bulk forms.

So if your buyer pulls out, you will not be able to move the tag for a few months..

and I'm still getting them when trying to reg a domain through my main account/member id
---
operation: request
key: unregged-domain.co.uk
account-id: 1*****
---

V194....

pissing me off. Every domain I reg has a new account.

I'm hoping this can be sorted out before I have to merge dozens of account... better still, they can do it for me!

Rob, Have you multiple tags on your membership?
