I recently bid on pcanswers.co.uk on ukbackorder - this had no reserve until the domain entered the 'ending any moment' phase of the auction.

Can sellers add reserves at any time during these auctions?

The log file shows the auction was set up with a reserve. There is no way for anyone to add a reserve later - it is done from the server when the auction is created. I didn't see anything untoward but I have asked the auction owner to confirm that he saw the reserve. The reserve, or graphical R, is not shown on the front page - only in the auction listing and the headers.
The wayback archive shows the reserve sign - I've sent you the link.

That auction was one of my domains. I set up a reserve at the time of sending it to auction. Feel free to send me an offer if you are still interested in it.
