Restriction on IPStag changes?

I transferred a .co.uk domain from one registrar to another yesterday and then renewed it;

Shortly after, I got an email confirming the sale of the domain via dan/afternic.

I need to change the IPStag again; but met with an "error" (unknown, waiting for support).

Is there a 60 day restriction on tag changes? I can only find documentation mentioning a 60 day restriction on new registrations, but not regarding tag changes.

And, if there is a 60 day restriction - am I screwed regarding the sale/transfer? any way to push it through?

Advice welcome!

There are no restrictions on .uk domain transfers (aka tag change).
If your registrar refuses to transfer it or it returns an error which should only be returned to a gTLD, then simply revert to Nominet's Onlines Services to complete the tag change and raise a complaint with Nominet about the registrar's behaviour.
However, Nominet charges £12 for the privilege of using their service.
