Revenue before entering a domain?

Hi,

What happens to revenue earned by a domain that is pointing to Sedo but not yet entered into my account on the Sedo system?

Does it later get credited to that account when the domain is eventually entered into the system?

Hi yesterday,

In order to receive credit for a parked domain, the domain would need to be listed in your account. If domains are not listed in an account, we cannot tell where the earnings need to go.

It would also be somewhat impossible to determine ownership of a domain before it was listed in an account, exact dates the domain was pointed to Sedo, etc.

If you are not sure if all your parked domains are listed in your account, feel free to send me (or [email protected]) a spreadsheet with your domains and I'll be happy to double-check them for you.

The question was in the above situation where or who gets the cash?

If I add a domain to Sedo nameservers but not my account, adverts are still shown and clicks occur. Who gets the cash?

I asked this same question a while back http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/sedo-exclusive/8102-parked-but-not-added.html with no answer.

Sedo stated all of these go into 'the payments pool' - but how to get our cash out of it , or who gets it was never answered...!

If Namedrive can credit the correct account once the domain gets entered surely Sedo can do it, Brad?

If a name is not added to any account Sedo keep your money plain and simple, but dont admit to it.

There was a time if a name never got added to any account a portal page would appear, someone at Sedo then decided to return one click paid ads, pretty obvious why.

Hi,

The short answer is that parking earnings which have nowhere to go stay with Sedo. Therefore, I would encourage everyone to make sure all their domains are entered in their accounts to receive parking earnings. Again, I can cross-reference an Excel sheet if anyone wishes to double-check.

Unfortunately, we cannot issue parking payments for domains not listed in an account. This is set out in our policies and Parking instruction guidelines.

Another way to look at it: you could take your money to a bank and give it to the teller, but unless you say which account the money needs to go to, you won't earn interest on it.
