My view is you need to inject a bit of personality into it, it's a bit cold at the moment. If you were to profile people and start up companies, it would capture people's interest and help start the community.

Interview people and post an article about them and their enterpreneurial activities / the companies they have started. I expect some would be happy to do this for the publicity.
