Ripped and stripped out of serps

When I looked at a 2 month old expired name just now, all archive.org and the whole back link profile seems to have gone - its at least 3 years old and was ranked one in google. The only value would be seo, it's utterly worthless in any other respect.. what's the play here.

I just went.. I was putting in a very similar but wrong url over and over.. can close this.
