This was on the dailymail last week, bbc are slow at picking things up.

I don't see the joy in doing this? just get a little remote control car; or even better a little remote control helicopter

Where would you even get a roach from anyway.. I guess you would have to go go ask your local restaurant and ask if you can pop in their kitchen.

This surely can't go ahead.. Little kids would think it's ok to operate on living organisms and I agree could turn some into psychopaths. Then again if it does go ahead surely the parents are smart enough to not let their kids touch such things, right...?

I think it would be more likely to turn them into scientists or engineers than psychopaths. Still something doesn't feel right just being able to order such a kit online. There's probably a place maybe for these to used in schools to replace the frog or rat dissection. But as a toy no. I can understand the distaste in that

Ummm Robochild, I wrap wire around your your loved ones ears, a couple of pp3's on a sweatband, and I electrocute an ear depending on which way I want the kid to turn.

This time next year rodders, I'll prob be bankrupt :p

I personally think its wrong.

You could get at least 2 raspberry pi's for the price. A much more structured learning experience and more compassionate.

I also believe someone hooked their device/roach to twitter, using tweets to control it.

One can only hope aliens are not watching the human race to see how we treat other beings. Lol

During the Roman empire the war elephant drivers used to carry a big hammer and chisel so they could drive the chisel into elephants brain and kill it if it got scared and went "rogue".

I wonder if the cockroach has a "kill switch" in case it goes "rogue" and heads for someones sandwich.

Have we really come any further forward in the last 2000 years, or are we degenerating back into the depths of stupidity from whence we came.

Or did we ever really leave.
