Saw this one dropping and decided not to bother - I regged enough duff domains this month.

The problem with lyrics sites is that in a few months they're all going to have to be licenced by the publishers of whatever lyrics you're displaying - same as the music download sites. Unfortunately all modern lyrics are copyrighted and it's going to cause some problems.

Sorry - not a very upbeat appraisal.

Remember that lyrics.co.uk recently sold for $80,000 even with the problems you mention.

I think the buyers of lyrics knew that and are intending lyrics.co.uk to become the UK's #1 lyrics paysite - properly licenced and with the money filtering to the people who are allegedly ripped off when these songs are published on the net for free.

Agreed, but wasn't expecting $80,000 or anywhere near.
