Also have schoolforwriters.com and my plan is to sell them both together. They are currently run as an online writing school. I would include course material in the price so this is a working business, already up and running, and has a lot of potential. Tutors need to be expert writers to maintain standard of tuition (pdf courses are sent out to students when they enrol). This is currently making a monthly income of £1-2000 but with focused marketing efforts has potential to earn much more (e.g. by using google adwords).

Looking for around £5000...

If its making 1-2k per month, why are you selling for 5?

Do you have stats? How much income has this online site made since launch?

Hi Chris,

That's a really good question.

The answer is that this is an embryonic site - it needs a lot of love and attention to really gain some traction and I just don't have the time to put into it. At present, the site has first page listing on google for 'school for writers' (it was no. 3 when I checked earlier), but at present it still has no PR to speak of, etc. My intention was always to develop this site much further before selling... but I have over 100 sites (mostly focused around three business areas), a lot of which are becoming much more demanding and I've had to make some decisions about where to focus.

Plus this is not a set-it-up and sit back while the money rolls in proposition (although I suppose it could be set up in a different way, say with self-study courses that don't involve tuition), it's quite a niche proposition.

I'll put some stats together over the next day or so. Sorry should have had all that already - just wasn't expecting any quick replies (I've had this listed on Sedo for a couple of weeks with no interest at all...)

Many thanks for explaining that theonemanyuri, and for your welcome ... I had no idea it might be taken that way, me being over-enthusiastic as usual. I'll start again from scratch and add an intro, then spend some time getting a better feeling for the site before posting anything else.. good job I didn't go the whole hog and post loads of my sites really! ... thanks again

Quite alright. I shouldn't worry too much it's clear that you're not, do an intro and carry on as normal.

This site gets a lot of spammers so people are always cautious, doesn't matter so much on a £10 name but if you're looking to sell stuff for 1k+ it's worth getting your name known a little. Good luck with the sale, sorry for going off topic...
