Hi, looking for some opinions on this one. 6.6k monthly google searches in london

Thanks

hi, I don't understand why anyone would buy a domain on this dodgy new extension and then spend $$$$$ build a site on it. it has to be worthless, except maybe for adwords campaing might get few clicks?

Hi, I plan to use the domain for myself, was just wondering if anyone thought it had any value due to the google monthly search volume

cruel to be kind - if you have to value domain based on search volume then you need to give up buying domains as you don't understand domain-ing - do you get that?

well i'm sure it helps if the term has search volume doesn't it?

dot london is massive and has been adopted by 1000's of companies/individuals

Just type in google

site:.london

Just add the keyword/s after the above, eh voila !

The same result could have been achieved on another domain extension right ?
Any TLD can be developed, doesn't mean the TLD is valuable or has an aftermarket.

Yep it sure could, I just wanted a domain with key phrase "scrap my car" in. And its registered it most of the other popular extensions.

Good luck getting a scrap dealer to buy it there bread and butter don’t and will likely never use the net lots of reasons for them not too want it Dealers themselves don’t really want everyone to know there paying the least, or necessarily advertise where they are so what they left with a site that tells punters what they buy? sign outside does that and people don’t tend to travel far to sell scrap so they’d know where they are already

There are hundreds of companies who advertise for buying scrap, just on Adwords alone.

You’ll find % that are after cars, in London, would buy a domain is going to be miniscule if any if you believe they would buy it shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes to phone email etc them all so you can post the sale tomorrow ;)

I was just pointing out that scrap dealers definitely use the internet, just google scrap scrap dealers :)

And as i have said I plan to use for myself, just thought would post here to see what people thought of it. I could list a thousand or more scrap dealer websites if i could be bothered. Don't know why you think they don't use the "net;-)"

ELV regs changed the industry in the uk ?If you wanted to try and sell it these two would give you nearly all in the uk that you'd have a remote chance with

There may be 1000s globally but a miniscule amount in London the streets are no longer paved with gold either btw :)
