I'd steer clear of the scrap gold market unless you're going to be using it for adsense, and even then you won't make stellar money.

Refineries are paying such a small margin on gold now that scrap gold dealers are making aroung 9p per gram (9ct gold is over £7 per gram), so you have to shift huge volumes to make any reasonable money.

Unless you're a scammy tv company - they're paying around 50p per gram!!

Not realy looking for development ideas, looking for a fair market value based on it's development potential.

Where do you see the web revenue coming from here? That question needs to be answered before setting a value on the domain. I guess the domain could be useful to major scrap companies who could use the site as a marketing tool, showing what they pay for scrap and therefore providing visibility to their company. I'm thinking domain alone value £400 to £700 wholesale, more to the end user if you can convince them of the business value.

I guess the obvious target market would be" Scrap Metals " but sayig that there's a lot of people looking for information on " Scrap car values " both growing niches with good ppc revenue. I had a few offers via email over the past weeks but nothing good enough to persuade me to sell yet, your estimates where not a million miles away but I was holding for £2k -£2.5k minimum on this one or in that ball-park, just thought it was worth asking you guys to see if you were on my planet.
