Sedo sale: BestOnlineCasino.co.uk (£12,950)

I sold BestOnlineCasino.co.uk on Sedo a couple of weeks ago but haven't seen it pop-up in the RSS or anywhere so I thought I should mention it here.

I liked the domain and hate to see it go, (had actually put a small site on it too), but it was a decent offer and there's just not enough time to develop all those domains!

I think the point is meant to be that the affiliate commissions are immense in the casino space.

The price seems fair I think - good affiliate commissions but if you build an affiliate site in that niche today the chances of getting penalised are huge since you can't build legitimate links to it. So its a hell of a gamble for the buyer.

The only use for a domain name like this is to list the best online casino's.. why would someone want to do that? to earn commissions, you're right.

But it can only be what it is, and google doesn't like what it is.

So if you were buying it to help with google rankings then it doesn't seem logical you know?

But I'm sure whoever purchased it knows what they can achieve with it..

Its high risk, high reward. As like you see there is pretty much nothing you can do with it outside of shitty affiliate site, with zero value add at all.

The chance of this site being penalised is off the scale - there is no possible way to legitimately link build to it. But if it works they'll make a fortune. If not they'll lose £50k trying...

Blimey, that is a high price for the domain, but just goes to show how little I know of this industry and why it might be best I don't pursue it further. Well done all the same, you've done well.
