Please could someone tell me what the benefits of Sedo *over and
above* simply using the domain myself for selling or affiliate are ?.
What would I get that I do not get advertising the domain myself,except may be for more hits ?.

i have only used sedo and with mixed results.

I think the main beauty is the easy of registration = once you have an account up and running you can add multiple domains in a number of seconds and instantly get revenue from them. Its also handy to get some idea of traffic whilst getting free worldwide advertising.

having not used anything else i'm not a great person to say.

I will look into using other methods on my domains as the sedo system doesn;t help long term traffic or domain value.

Just out of interest, are we talking hundreds of pounds of revenue at
SEDO or tens ?. You could equally keep an eye on traffic by getting 1
web hosting account with logs and point all your domains at that one
host ,and put a page up offering the domain for sale, along with
affiliate banners.

well i'm getting around E150 from 200 odd but only in the last 3 months

I have been looking to develop some now and perhaps try and few affiliate schemes - the only thing that’s put me off is the cost. How can you do this cheaply?

I guessed you needed a multiple hosting account (reseller) and then put the sites together with content as most of the affiliates want developed sites not parked domains. Then you have minimum traffic limits etc etc

Seemed a lot of hard work to me!

I find SEDO ok,no problems and decient return on parked domains ,all most paid for them all and had a few offers,to me it is an honest approachable biz, and they ans. e-mails.

I have set up sites using AffiliateWindow and TradeDoubler content and earnt 0.

Sedo works best for regular income, even if it is a modest one

I have found that Tradedoubler and Commission Junction
(particularly CJ) are good. £1,050 January.

Admin, I better make this correct. I am actually helping someone
with their domains so its not my money. The bulk of the commissions
come from hotel bookings and insurance. Very simple sites with
banners only and about 25,000 hits per month. Mind you this is nought
compared to the millions of US$ we are owed from another project,
but gotta collect it from them yet.

That is quite some traffic, what is generating it if the sites are not content rich and therefore not attracting visitors this way?

Actually I must say (how embarrassing lol) that I think I overestimated
a bit (well actually a lot) as I was looking simply at the impressions (on
1 site (to whihc a number of domains are pointed)and estimating the rest of the domains) not the UV list. Having looked again in reality there are ,on all domains around 5,200 UV in january on ALL domains. Sorry about that and I am back to the real world now.
