Domain Name Appraisal for: SEXBLOG.COM
Estimated Value: $14,652.00 - $38,096.00

That is a bit of a range.

What is the 'buy it now' price?

Sim

You shouldn't sell it, you should develop it...

Think about it - a sex blog portal for every person out there - 'a la' m*space etc...

Done right you could be asking prices with at least an extra zero on either of the appraisal figures quoted...

Least you should do is hold onto it for a serious offer...

Hi,
agreed excellent domain. I know this is a sales thread but thought mention a couple of points. Definitely worth top end of appraisal NOW!
The yanks will love this domain, huge market.
The other side of the coin is i would sell sooner rather than later. A good example is the casino domains etc. A lot of people have been a bit too greedy & not seen the current gambling ruling coming in the US. Turning down big $xx,xxx offers, wanting $xxx, xxx. Well, it's not signed yet, but looks that way. Apparently they have the same plans for online dating! It's good in some ways as they are tightening things up. Including for myspace etc
They are saying there are a lot of 'predators' ;) out there & checks need to be made of people criminal histories etc. Not sure how it will work, but i would offload for a fat check if i were you.
Cheers, Predator

quote:
It's not just online gambling government is trying to regulate over the world wide web.....now they are going after internet dating services. Yikes.

Several states are cracking down on the online dating industry, proposing new laws that would, among other things, mandate criminal background checks on all those looking for love on the Internet.

To date, New York is the only state that has a law regulating online dating sites, but six other states have introduced similar legislation mainly in the last year. They are California, Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Virginia and Texas.

Lawmakers seeking to regulate the online dating scene claim that the industry isn't doing enough to police itself, and consequently, is putting vulnerable people at risk of meeting up with predators.

Proposed legislation has varied from state to state, with some states wanting to make criminal background checks mandatory, and others wanting online companies to alert surfers upfront that background checks on potential dates have not been done.

Another bill sneaked its way through Congress recently that would hold online networking site MySpace.com liable for any harm that comes as a result of unmonitored predators utilizing the popular website. Ouch!

You obviously don't understand the adult business...

I know a number of companies that would have an interest in this name that would consider it chicken feed...

If the name were mine I'd do exactly what I suggested...

The appraisal is wrong... it's autogenerated based on pooled data not industry data...

Like many, your probably looking from the domainer perspective not the industries...

Top adult .com domain, taken in every other major extension including .org.uk and .me.uk - should fetch a price in line with the appraisal. Don't accept less than $ 5 figures and don't listen to anyone telling you to 'take a grand'

Grant

This is a windup right?

Add a zero? C'mon

Tale a grand if you can get it, forget the mad prices these guys are talking about.

Not a wind up - I agree - the name is a tasty one and could be worth a few quid and is ripe for development, the plural is better but apart from that its great.

Their are two companies right now that I could phone and get 5 figures for it - no problem!

One expects to turn over half a billion in product by the year end, the other, substantially more...

IMO - SIM - Dev or just await a good offer!!!!!

Firstly, you would be better off starting your own appraisal thread. Secondly, I'm afraid it's not in the same ballpark/league/planet as sexblog.com

Yep merc - I'd second that...

Trust me, Grant knows a thing or two...
