Of course we all do it, particularly for big ticket items.(and small ticket where we know it's a 30-40% online discount) Must have some impact on how products are accessible for viewing in the future. just a matter of time.

I like that idea of naming products differently - for high street presentation. Not from a savers point of view but from a "save the High St" Alternatively we are going to be into a catalogue high-street, Nothing stocked (apart from one of all size stocked for try before you buy) So pure showrooms only (including things like shoes and garments etc) by the manufacturers and suppliers that can afford and choose to do it. (so from a high street presence nothing new there)

The argument could be had that this is in fact a better retail model - particularly if you had nextday delivery and an option to return to the said 'Catalogue/product showroom' ARGOS on Mass

I think this is where big stores like M&S do well. You can order online, return in store. If they don't stock in store you can order for home delivery etc.

I think it is quite ironic.
With their showrooms comes the extra price tag of rent, rates, wages and utility bills. Alll has to be paid for and thus the price goes up as it's passed on to the customer.

Full circle. Except without the service. Now you can only browse, you cannot take home with you.
