Maybe this topic is a little late, but I still wanted to open a separate thread and see what others think.

.si is getting attention, but I do not think sales alone tell the full story yet.

For me, the more interesting part would be seeing more real websites using .si as the main domain. I would also want to see if people keep renewing them after the hype slows down. A ccTLD feels different once actual users start building on it.

What would you look for first with .si: more sales, more developed sites, or stronger renewals?

It will be quite tough to re-shape this Slovenian ccTLD into a globally used extension - you are talking about a country (even recently formed) - with a long history.. uncomparable with Anguilla (.ai) - population almost 16k people.

many local establishments use .si (and, in Europe this is an established practice that institutions and largest businesses use local ccTLDs).. uni-lj.si (University), rtslo.si (TV/radio), and even Google has google.si

as for the interesting ones > Pepsi sometimes use pep.si for short campaigns :) .. again, nothing related to "super intelligence" (kw that some domain investors are pushing).

top .si sites on the global stage probably are:
jit.si (video conferencing platform).. though, again, their brand name is "Jitsi Meet", so probably a domain hack.

there is a huge torrent site on .si, though, pirate sites move through tlds without any sense of belonging :)

do you know any new samples yourself? .. so far - this seems to be a hype created by some domainers to milk newer ones (not cool)

Yes people are pushing for "Super Intelligence" that would be the only value here, I assume the poster is too?

No, the poster is an established registrar :) .. and ICANN accredited for 20 years already :) .. I had honour meeting them in Hong-Kong where they attended the 1st edition of Domain Summit Asia.

.. I am checking X feeds occasionally to see who are the domainers that are trying to create this hype.. noticed this trend starting because I'm following Kalin.

ok.. why not > let's go for it..

Here's a list, provided by Grok, of active domainers currently advertising individual .si domains, with one example tweet each:
