thanks

eddy

Sounds very similar to one that's currently doing well on domainlore.
I'm not saying this is worth as much but I couldn't tell you why that one is going so high so who knows.
You should try pitching this to Andrex / toilet roll companies. I supposes it could also work for skincare, haircare or fabric softener companies as well now I think about it.
Try and find an end user prices aren't great here at the moment

Think of end users, e.g. fabric conditioner companies, and pitch it to them.

I like the name, hard to value though. As others have said pitch to end users and if someone shows interest ask for a healthy sum. Good luck!

I'm in the wrong business..

That domain you refer to on DL means

1. immaculately clean.
2. pure.

or

3. a sp0tless reputation
4. a sp0tless company

These are immediately useful, and desirable attributes.

This domain imho is not even close, it's speculation junk that I used to reg in 2007 that might get flipped for £50 to a newb here - if it does then that's all good.

Personally i'd be embarrassed to pitch a domain like this to Andrex to make £50

If an 'end user' did buy it - how much time and money would be worth investing in a domain like this to promote it?

I don't mind it

Make an ok name to sell water softeners too.

Why would you pitch it to a multinational or any end user for that mater at £50
Andrex have been branding around soft and similar words for years so just the first thing that came to mind. From a recent campaign.

I'm not saying its worth four figures to everyone or anyone. But I also think reg fee seems a bit harsh.

Minus reg fee is very harsh. It's ok I think it will take a name like Poker.co.uk and maybe then Julian will say "it's ok". :p

thanks for that information atlas nice 2 know.i try my best to listen and learn from people on this forum.i guess my best sale so far was watchfootball online.co.uk.so at least that one earned its reg fee i like to think I am learning every day.but I know we never stop learning in the domain world.

There's no real point to selling a domain for £50 IMO. Do the legwork, work out the relevant companies to target, then write a good pitch letter explaining why it's good, address it to their marketing department. Say you're inviting offers. If you're lucky enough to get interest, ask for a lot, e.g. £2,000+. That's the way to make it in domaining. You may not get lucky, but you have to ask for a lot when someone is interested.

Rgds

Just because I said minus reg fee doesn't mean someone won't buy it, I just hate names that end in 'ness'

I let closeness.co.uk drop and someone even thought that had some value..

In fact, DL and this forum are littered with my drops over the last year, it fascinating seeing catchers trying to shift or sit on them.

You see, I've now got to the point where I look at in the sense I've 'made money' when I let my domains expire - let 50 domains expire make £300!

Julian i think you seem to forget there was a point where you were quite "lucky" to of been in the domain game.

I'm not sure what your point is? :) Aren't we all "lucky" in so many respects that saying we are lucky to "be alive" or "in domain names" almost seems pointless! ;-)

(from iPhone)

:D Yes you have a point, right place right time might of been more fitting. On second thoughts its nice to have more discussion in the Domain appraisals section even if feedback is tough feedback.

Agreed good to see such discussions

Sell it to Dove :)

Seriously, the domain name is not that bad. But that doesn't mean it will ever sell easily.
