The only reason I'd even buy his yourplumber.co.uk is because it has a 1999 reg date and I'll flip it on to some idiot who thought that mattered for seo


I don't think you can sell something as "brandable" and with absolutely no search volume on its own, without selling the set of them. Who's going to pay mid 5 figures for that and let someone else sit on the .com?

BTW, is there anywhere that I could see the newspaper ad online? I'd be interested to see how they set it up.

No problem, I'll quote it exactly as is. My own opinion is that half of his domains are horrendously bad, so want to quote someone else owning a domain selling business who agrees

Or what they were doing in the newspaper ad.

Had it run just the 20 or so great names (the obvious ones from the "headline" list, plus selected names from the longer list at the bottom of the press release), steered clear of the nonsensical search stats hype and been reworded and proofread by an expert wordsmith, they would probably have sold a lot of names right off the bat. Now... well, I'm not so sure!

I have just seen the list, themaldives.co.uk for £100k, I own themaldives.org and would be happy if I got a few hundred pounds for it. Quite a few overpriced domains on the list.
