just wondered - has anyone else had similar messages like this with their sedo offers recently?

If you are not using it much, I hope I can give the domain a good home - it would be for a new tiny, tiny business I hope to build and mature. Im trying to become self employed you see!

Well, if the business was tiny, you would have a point, and I'd call this a begging letter. The fact of the matter is though, that the business is tiny, tiny, so I think you should give him the domain for free and immediately!

Here is one from last week on Sedo for a one word generic .co.uk for £45 final offer

"This adress is to be used for a soon to be founded charity organisation, founded by students to help children in the UK. Help us by letting us take over the adress as cheap as possible."

I was going to say something, but then I thought why waste my time putted in a counter offer and then they still putted £45 final offer so I cancelled it.

I was thinking great tactic to reduce price, not convincing enough for me to sell a generic to them for that price though.

There have been a lot of these "we're students" ones going around of late I believe. I wonder if anyone is actually taken in by them. I suppose somebody must be, else they wouldn't do it.

hmmm maybe I will use this tactic to get myself some bargains, sorry in advance ;)
