Germany haven't been that hot either, they beat the Aussies 4-0, but struggled in 1-0 loss to Serbia and were quite lucky not to concede at least a couple against Ghana yesterday, so bar the big win, only 1 goal in their last 2 games, and are quite fortunate they're not on their way back to Germany.
A number of bigger teams are really struggling, France out, Italy only managed two 1-1 draws so far and could still go out.
Portugal have the benefit of their 7 goals against North korea to thank, otherwise, with their last game against Brazil, if they lose that, they'll be 2nd in the group, but with Ivory Coast needing to score at least 9 against Korea to go through on goal difference above Portugal, fortunate they slaughtered Korea like they did.
Spain are also hanging in the balance after losing their first match to Switzerland, joint second palce with them and only 1 goal ahead on goal difference, they have to beat top of the table Chile to progress, otherwise Switzerland with a win over Honduras will qualify in 2nd place and Spain go home.
Inevitably, England often struggle against lesser teams, they alyways have done, but seem to step up a gear when thrown in with better teams, we'll see on sunday
