I want to sell a stairlift .. Can anyone offer advice

Its actually two as it was in a staircase that turned back on itself..
It cost £3400 and wasn't ever really used so its immaculate, i reckon i could quite easily remove it myself and anyone wanting to fit one, well a bit of electrical knowledge is all thats required, it couldnt be easier to actually fit it to the stairs..

Anyone else ever had to do this? They seem to go for peanuts on ebay and the company we bought it from dont want to buy it back..

Just registered it on stairlifttrader..

Any suggestions on how to get some money back on it would be appreciated..

Thanks

We have been in a similar position twice in recent years. The companies that sell them charge a fortune, but never want to take them back. It must be a profitable business to be in. One we gave away. One we had to pay to have removed. Both of them were barely used.

Hi, stannah wanted £150 just to remove my stannah 260 and takeaway..
I sold mine via free ad on
www.stairlifttrader.com
or you could use ebay but it will cost about £2 for listing and i think they take 10% of final price.
Good luck anyway :)

Yes, seems a like a great business to be in which is why I've got mobilityequipment.co.uk ;)

I've asked Admin for it to be listed in premium names (had offers of 1.5k before that I've turned down) but so far no reply!

Hi

Im also looking to get a stairlift removed! Would like to get some money for it for my gran but really if someone could remove it and take away to a good home then maybe that would do. Can anyone help?

Hi LMitchell,
Give them a go it costs nothing to try :p
Hope you get a few quid...

Thanks Craig. I've since sold my name but might be useful for others.
