Mind you !! Who or what is Charlotte Church. There are many cities called Charlotte, including one in North Virginia with 400,000 population. It is in the Bible Belt, so Charlotte has very many churches . So the term Charlotte Church can mean more than one thing.

For me Nick spoke total sense in both against the current registrant and why Susan Boyle didn't have advice to reg the name before the show was aired.

The way he spoke made me think that people in that position in Nominet do understand both sides of it, especially when he mentioned the .com was regged in 2002 and taking that into account. Which was nice to see and I admit I was wrong in thinking these guys don't have a clue, he clearly does.

You say that susanboyle.com was registered in 2002. That is because it is a fairly common name ,quite probably. What did the registration in 2002 have to do with a Scottish singer?
Take the name "Tom Jones" . How could you have a more common name.....especially in Wales !!? I know of several guys called Tom Jones living in this area of Wales.
It is also a common name in England and the USA. Jones and Smith are the top two surnames.
Besides, Tom Jones, the singer, was born Thomas John Woodward and changed his name in the early 60s after the historical literary character of Tom Jones was popularised by Albert Finney in a film of that name.

I bet there are thousands of Susan Boyles in the world. "Boyle" is a fairly common Irish name and the Irish have emigrated in droves.....including the large Glasgow influx.....hence the roots of the singer.

She has no more RIGHT to a Susan Boyle domain than any other Susan Boyle. Buyers of various Susan Boyle domains could deals with some actual other Susan Boyles to justify having them, if need be.
