Suspended domain only reg'd Oct 2014?

I have just found a domain that was only registered in October but is currently suspended.

Anyone know what may have caused this?

I don't want to reveal the domain here as I would like to get it if it drops.

At a guess, the contact details have failed validation so it's been suspended (along with other domains the same person/company owns).

The data validation bit in the WHOIS should help on this point... If it says that they are validated, it must be something other than this.

if it's a .uk the name will say suspended until the person verifies contact details via email sent by nominet.

Probably because they can't validate the address on whois as people have said

If it's not fixed it will just stay suspended for the course of its registration until it drops normally.

Should also mention, it might say

"Registrant contact details validated by registrar on.."

if it says that, registrar instead of Nominet, it's probably data problem.
