Tag Administration Software

Just released from TagAdmin.com is an extremely useful Windows application that gives you a graphical user interface to create PGP signed emails to perform the common UK domain name administration tasks.

These include:

Register a new Domain Name
Renew Domain Names (on your TAG)
Delete Domain Names (on your TAG)
Request Details of a Domain and Request a list of all Domains on your TAG

A full list of Domain Names that are on your Nominet TAG can be imported into the TAG Administration software for you to easily monitor your domains and their renewal dates.

The Register a New Domain Option pulls up a New registration Wizard which steps you through entering the information required for the domain you wish to register.

Other options include Bulk Name Server Change and Bulk Transfer Away, both time saving features.

In all a very comprehensive and well designed piece of software that fits a niche market as we have seen no other software that the same job.

PGP software?

I want to buy pgp most suitable for TagAdmin/ Nominet Automaton usage. A Windows desktop version with a Nice GUI for an easy life is my preference. Where to go for this? Version 9.0 at pgp.com is not compatible with Nominet's system.

I can't see 8.1 available for download at pgp.com now that 9.0 has been released. There doesn't seem to be a download archive.

I have just got the new update for TagAdmin, and am going to fully test it before putting it up on site. Loads of new features & reporting, too much to really go into here, but for those of you who have already purchased your copy, you've got in just in time. The price will go back upto its original price of £99.99 after the weekend probably, but may actually be before depending on testing results.

Included in this new update briefly:- full reporting ability on Billing/Creation/Changed details

PGP creation of signing keys for new applicant TAG holders, auto emailing of phone number for fingerprint verification, and test signed email to Nominet,

Ability to maximize main screen, new database schema, API inclusion for future plugin creation, + many other bug fixes that I found, but wouldn't have shown up under 'normal' usage.

Extra feautres to prevent accidental TAG abuse e.g warnings when names are no longer on your tag etc.

This will be your last chance to get in whilst it's effectively being given away!

1/ More features just getting added... multiple TAG's facility
2/ Multiple Reg detail sets - reg names using multiple pre-filed details sets
3/ Bulk change 'any' editable field, so if you change your phone number etc, changes can be made en-mass (well upto 100 at a time) (Not ready for next update yet)
4/ PGP passphrase caching

etc. etc...
