Hi folks,

Looking for some advice here.

I have a site (.co.uk) that generates income by selling leads to a UK based company.

Is there anything I can do to reduce my tax bill? Is it possible to set up a company in ROI or similar country with more favorable tax rates?

Cheers

If you have sufficient income to warrant setting up off-shore companies, I'd really suggest getting professional advise rather than asking on a public forum :)

re

In laymans yes!

You can live in the UK for less than 183 days per year and spend your time in another country that has a double taxation treaty with HMRC and pay no tax to the UK government. As you are only taxed in one jurisdiction, if you choose the right one it could be 0%.

BUT then you have BIG grey areas that if the incomes is generated from the UK and not foreign. E.g a UK merchant paying you.

Then you have other rules like do you have kids in the UK? A house?

So much stuff floating around on the internet. But it's not really worth doing any of this unless you're earning a decent amount which would mean its worth consulting a tax specialist.
