ouch - that hit an artificial ceiling!

Always lots to learn in life and selling [edit: and buying] domains with Sedo presents lots of learning opportunities.

Nice price anyhow.

Buyer1 because he set a max bid of 9,999 earlier so his bid wins. I suspect that it may have gone a little higher if bidder 2 had been pre authorised to bid over £10k but without his max bid was £9,9999

Makes you think, perhaps buyer 2 (could be Sedo) had this knowledge and was pumping to push buyer 1 to its limit.

Naughty of me to assume, but It does seem strange.

I'm pretty sure bidder 2 is a member here, but not for me to say who

EDIT: I now know that was not the case

Ah right, congrats. on the sale.

Perhaps if the cap wasn't in place buyer 1 would have put a higher max bid in?

Are auctions at Sedo for not approved bidders capped at 10K?

Yes Certification. The standard certification is "...Buying Domains under 10,000 USD/EUR/GBP in an auction...." which I can only assume is why the end price was 9999 and not 10,000 which would have been more logical.

DoubleTap...

Type in "tfl" into google. Also check up on the google keywords... big figures.

So it's either the no1 from google search or someone wanting the type-ins.

I reckon the latter.

Yup, took off my dunce hat and did the Google. Pocket money for them then if it's the no. 1 you refer to
.
Brings back recent thoughts of the Denys spat, they could chase that particular domain name too, especially now that a news story seems to have broke about 1 hour ago about them purchasing the O***** C*** system!

I can say it isn't the No1, but don't wish to say much more until the deal is all done.
