See you later Nicholas :D

Ive got no time for people like him

Yeah what a stupid fucking toff if ever i saw one.

Loved the part where alan goes "whats outstanding, does that mean you have not got it" those sorts of lines are gold..

who was that other toff that kept saying "one will" and "one was" and he put one in front of every other word,is this what one does when one has elocution lessons....

So glad to see it back on TV, always an enjoyable watch, also with 'House' back on C4 on a Thursday - good programmes.

You could tell he was fitting as many "impressive" words into any sentance he could. It just made him look like a dick

Man that Nicholas guy....

he would just irritate the f*ck out of me....I would never want him acting for me. He'd probably run off and cry....

I do so despise people who believe that an academic qualification is a route to guaranteed success....what a tw*t....

I met quite a few people like him at my mates uni,

All their success is built on daddys wallet. They were talking about how they are property developers and into real estate but it turns out they just do the odd jobs for daddys houses.

You could also see them at the party desperatly trying to relive their missed youth dancing around acting drunk making cocks out of themselves.

Rant over :)

i get distracted watching "house" because i concentrate on hugh lawrie dropping his american accent,he is good with the yank twang though.

i watched some of the first season and just couldnt watch any more... might have the give the new season a go.

love the original US version thought :)

Simon, you really should - it's v. funny to watch. You can grab it on the iplayer if you missed it.

"There are two types of people in life, winners and ... I... I can't say it and I won't say it."

"I DON'T CARE who I step on to become a SUCCESS!"

"People sometimes think I am arrogant, and I say, yeah - so what? Whatcha gonna do about it?"

All these pretenders, ahhh the naivety of it all. I guess they're only young :) Obviously I would never employee any of them.

i think thats the problem, i see this people and cant decide whether to laugh , or throw my tv out the window.. so i dont risk it lol

I wonder if the apprentice is cultivating an atmosphere amongst the wannabe young entrepreneur of the fact that bravado and balls is all it takes.

When actually there are a myriad of skills that one needs - aggressive behavior does not get you everywhere...we all have to deal with other people.

I too am shocked at their statements on the site - how cocksure are they?...do they ever believe that making mistakes is good and hold their hands up to it. Nope - they are polished but of no substance. I would not give most of them the time of day let alone a job.

Blame the program makers - trying for ever a more explosive mix...

I think bravado is certainly handy for middle management, but these people are under the illusion they could run their own business. Of course they probably couldn't. A true entrepreneur would rather make £40k working for themselves than £100k working for someone else, although as I said, I wouldn't employ any of them as I couldn't tolerate the arrogance and dishonesty level.

The Apprentice is a lesson in how to become a soulless employee.

I can't help wondering what would happen if someone who actually knew their stuff was thrown into the mix.

Of course I'm going to be hooked on the programme for the next few weeks

To be fair it's the early rounds of the X factor for business, people who can't make it on their own through lacks of balls or brains. Either of which would render them unemployable. Like you say £40k working on your own or £100k working for someone else, no contest.

To be fair what is the record for working as Sugars apprentice, is it 6 months and then they resign saying it wasn't what they thought it would be.

Anyhow hasn't Sugar sold Amstrad? or most of it, Where the hell are they going to work. It's got the same ingredients as that time they let Rachel Elnaugh complete the second series of the Dragons Den even though she didn't have a pot to pee in herself.

GW

He sold Amstrad for £140 million or something like that form memory - still has a huge business empire though.

I am not a violent man but it could be argued that Nicholas is the type of person that many would love to smack right in the mouth. (carefully worded) ;)

What makes me laugh is all the education in the world clearly doesn't translate into common sense...

When will they all learn that you never just jump in and start doing things... a small bit of planning (for 5 minutes in my case...) ... sheesh!!!

Isn't "Nicolas de lacy wassit" originally Nicolas Brown...? Or am i getting my wires crossed.

From what seen so far - they are all bloody hopeless... so shoudl be a cracking series :D
