Research released today has revealed that customers can face a postcode lottery when choosing a broadband package, with many people buying broadband which can only receive a fraction of the speed promised at purchase.

Figures looking at London in particular demonstrate how much internet speeds can vary between areas. The East End for example is badly served, with black spots in Canary Wharf and the Isle of Dogs, whereas some of the fastest internet speeds were recorded in North London.
