My phone went down the toilet at a party once and I fished it out, had to put a blow dryer on it the next morning

This happened to me once - in my own bathroom, luckly before i went! Stuck it in the airing cupboard for a day. Job Done.

i dont know, i fell into the sea once and my mobile was in my pocket and even though i opened it and let it dry for 3 days it was gone
