Seriously new to this stuff!

How do I transfer a domain to another person? I saw on nominet there is a £10+ Vat charge but how do I actually make the transfer to someone that has bought a domain from me?

Sorry to steal your thread

I can't make a thread however my question relates to yours

if i was to sell a domain via domainlore or somewhere how would i go about transferring my domain to the buyer?

Do i really have to send him the paper work to get it signed before i transfer domain?

if i missed something can someone please put step by step how domainlore auction works as in buyers view and sellers view please

thanks alot!

To send a domain transfer, login to your Nominet account associated with that domain name, then click on the registrant transfer link, enter the domain name and confirm it.

Next, enter the buyers email address, under that, there are 2 buttons, one is ticked if the buyer is paying the transfer fee of £10 + VAT, the other to be ticked if you are paying the fee, tick whichever applies (the buyer usually pays the fee unless you have stated otherwise during a sale), then click submit.

The next page will show details of the transfer, if they details are correct, tick the box and then submit.

The next page will confirm that the transfer email has been sent to the buyer. When they receive the email, it contains a link to Nominet for them to complete the transfer.

There's no paperwork, but transfer does need to be done through Nominet yeah. You go to Registrant Transfer section in your Nominet account to make the transfer. Nominet account is created automatically when you register UK domain, you should get email from Nominet to the email address you register your first domain to. You'll need buyer's email to do the transfer. You can choose to pay the transfer fee yourself or let the buyer pay it once he accepts the transfer.. Nominet transfer is only for UK domain names..
