From what I've seen you're really going to struggle ranking these in the UK, but Google webmaster tools does at least now allow .tv names to be geo-targetted from your account, although I've been given to understand that the content needs to be video for this to work at all. I've tried manually geo-targetting non UK domains in Google and it hasn't worked for me (yet) 12 months later, although my UK domains are all ranking fine.

Re the exact match, I'd take a look at the numbers pre September 2009 if I were you, but the recent figures appear to be way out.

I would say there's some value here, particularly the buy to let one.

I feel the benefit of an exact match domain name is greater on Yahoo than on Google. I used to have a .tv that was ranking well, but lately it's fallen away, although I haven't tried doing anything about it. I would say the usual techniques of Google SEO would apply, i.e. quality links in.
