UK Town Domain suggestions

Hi all,
Has anyone got any suggestions on what else i can create for a UK town domain rather than the usual directory and how to monetize it without adwords its a .co.uk and has a population of 49,000 people according to wiki.

Any help would be great, thanks

I suppose it depends on what sort of town it is. It's much easier to monetize a website on a town that people want to visit (seaside resort, historic town etc) than a run-down dump of a place that's full of boarded-up properties and scumbags.

Thats very true scottmccloud its a wealthy part of nottingham not far from city center

Does the C- place (I assume that's the one) have its own very distinct identity, or do people just think of it as Nottingham? (either locals or people further afield)

That will greatly affect whether it's worth thinking about developing it or not.
