[UK] Who here pays for a cleaner?

How much do you pay?
Do you pay per hour or per visit?
How did you find them? Online/friend/agency/local ad etc?
How often do you get them to come?

2. Depends on how you look at it
3. Met in a pub, got to know each other from there
4. Personal question indeed, probably never but it pleases me thats what counts.

On a serious note, the day im able to pay someone to clean my house would either be the day that im too rich to worry about the cost or the day when im in-capble of doing it myself.

Usually £60 for 30 minutes.

We use hassle.com - great service and our current cleaner is amazing.

She usually comes every other week and I think the rate is £10/hr.

I got an eastern european cleaner in, she was very cheap, but it took her 8 hours to hoover, she was a Slovak

We use hassle.com - great service and our current cleaner is amazing.

She usually comes every other week and I think the rate is £10/hr.

£10/hr is very reasonable. Hassle can't make much off each clean.

Never in my life thought we'd employ a cleaner, but things came together - me and the wife both work full-time, and we've got a little toddler tearing the place up who takes up most of our spare time (plus we're both always knackered from work). We also moved into a larger house last November. Then a family member started taking on some extra cleaning work. So everyone's happy It's pretty great to have a sparkling clean house at the start of every weekend

I remember once my friend came back home for a weekend, she was staying with her aunt.

She told me she couldn't be out till too late Friday because she had to get up early Saturday morning because her aunt would be cleaning

I said why is your aunt getting up early on a Saturday to clean?

I used to have a cleaner when I lived in Czech Republic. Unfortunately, my flat mate was a bit of a pervert and was constantly leering over her each time she visited. It was just too uncomfortable to watch. She had to go.
