Congrats on the sale. Looking back at some of your sold threads quite a few seem to have not updated to show the new owner, some expired even. Do you find this a symptom of collecting money first and them not following the transfer through.

Thanks.

A number are recent sales - however, some buyers do not update the ownership/who.is details.

It's taken in +24 online extensions, and is a short, potential brand.

When you have hundreds/thousands of brandcentric domains (even average quality), you will consistently sell domains like 4L, and 2-word brands - thanks to the power of the portfolio / the law of averages.

Oh potential brand :p

Do you have thousands of uks similar? don't registration fees vs only occasional sales make it not very viable

ps. It's weird if, perhaps, this buyer is already a brand called "urby" and they're trying to protect said brand, they offer you £1000 whilst leaving the .uk unregistered

Yes, I now have close to 10,000 .co.uk domains similar in quality.

I have never had an end user ask about .uk. Maybe it'll catch on more in a few years.

So should this sale be factored in against 10,000 registration and renewal fees

I just meant for them, if they want to protect their brand, seems silly not to pick up the .uk while it's FTR

Agree, it would be smart to pick up the .UK for registration fee alongside.

Most of the domains I pick up for registration fee, and the fee is often around £1 or £2 at the most (discounts/promotions).
The business model is generating residual profits almost on autopilot.

Just over a year since the sale - see the website on https://urby.co.uk/ :)
Great example of a random brand name - am sure the founders think it's cool...

- was that the original buyer from Federer I wonder.
