Just had a snoop around this site ViaPost: save money on post by sending physical post direct from your computer - new way of printing letters, i.e. you just print direct to them (as a printer driver) and they print, pack and send your letter for 27p. Cracking idea. Means I could move to Spain and market direct to the UK.
Seriously though, that has to be the best business idea ever. The scale is absolutely massive. I used to pack letters for a company when I was at school, they would send about 5,000 a week marketing this and that. But with this they bypass having to buy stationery, employ little Johnny to pack them, and save the labourious task of franking/sticking stamps on. AND they save money on postage. That is huge. Only suitable for some mailings, but i'm sure they will get their heads round the more complicated inserts and so forth in the future.
