Want to catch a suspended .co.uk

I'm going to attempt to catch a suspended .co.uk domain that was suspended in September, but I need a good service. What good services are there where you don't have to pay until you have the domain?

if the name is even remotely good then you have no chance of getting it using any online service - most private (i.e 1 man band) catchers snap even the remotely good ones thesedays.

you could try dropcatcher.co.uk though - they have been pretty successful in the past - or even better contact someone on here and pay them to attempt to catch it for you - both of which aren't free.

- a subscription to the DAC (Nominet's Domain Availability Checker)
- a custom written programme/script to register the domain when it becomes available

The harsh reality is that, if it's a reasonable domain name, you've got no chance

I say go get a Tag, which is free, forget membership, and if you have the skill/ luck you will gladly pay Nominet GBP 94 for the reg.

Even certain PGP products are free. The script is down to your knowledge.

Good point there, it's worth while having a play around with the system before you shell out the membership fee. Once you buy more than one then it's worth joining.

DAC is only available to TAG Holders who are also members

Is there any point in getting a tag unless you can use DAC? Can you get one if you are under 18? What does it mean by 2 IP addresses?

I'm not being rude, but when these guys start talking Scripts \ DACs \ PGP I can just about understand what they are talking about. Unless I have mis read your post and you are asking what an IP Address is would suggest you follow the advise here and pay Dropcatcher £35 to try and catch the domain or ask the members here to try and catch it for you, for a fee, with thier setups etc.

I obviously know what an IP address is, but why does it want then, and why 2?
