Hi,

I've had enough of my ever decreasing parking revenue and am looking to set a few of my names up as minisites.
Could you please post or PM examples of your work and your prices.

Thanks

PM Sent, We are developing mini site projects for a number of Acorn users!

I've sent solutions a number of private messages and I'm still waiting for a reply, and waiting for 1 site to be finished by him

Not the first time this character has done business in this way!

I must say I have since heard mixed messages from a few people about Bandoni so it is sad that this is the case. Going by http://www.leebandoni.com he does seem to have ongoing large projects - I mean with 1,095,000,000 (ie. over a billion) eyeballs a year to cater for its alot of work :)

Have you had any joy chasing this up?

Hmmmmm long story but I will never ever work with or trust Lee, nor recommend him to anybody.

What about you Mally?

Well things for me at first were fine, he done burglary which took about a week for £60 with 90% of the content. Looks pretty good.

He then started on business plans however its only partially done but still looks ok, just need the content now.

Come Lee, where you gone??

Police news

Not checked many urls - but worth having a look , and read, of content. There seems to be three scales which can merge:

1 - totally unique content, researched and written.

2 - rewritten content from sources. often computer 3 £0-2 cost .

3 - mashed up copy and pasting.

It is worth reading the content, if it is cheap and reads well then its copy and pasted, if its cheap and reads like a poor GCSE language student then its computer re-written or you are paying some bloke in china.

Good content cost money as you have real people writing it. As with most things, if its too cheap, there is a reason :)

If he is charging as little as £60 for a website I am not surprised he is keeping his head down, pretty difficult making any decent money charging as little as that.

I am currently starting a new webdesign business with a colleague, we are both developers for a large media/tv company and will be offering a more flexible minisite solution with a choice of dynamic content modules, we are currently working on the backend and building our own website, but will be looking for clients in about 2 months.

We wont be using wordpress or joomla like alot of people seem to be as these are so server sapping if you want to host more than a couple of sites.

our solution will be lightweight and expandable so the site can adapt and grow if required.

Just thought I'd add that minisites are great if you have really good domain names with a lot of type in traffic.

Instead of building loads of minisites it makes more financial sense to concentrate on developing just one of your best names. You'll make a lot more money from concentrating on one name than spreading yourself too thin.

well said,i have suffered from this exactly,i have been running around trying to update all these little sites spending between 8-10 hours a day tweaking hundreds of minisites instead of concentrating on one good one, when i have finished at the end of the day my eyes feel like someone has poked me in the eye with a cocktail stick.

You can't do it.

There are two types of people in the world my friend....

Good Bad Ugly.. woops that's three!

The internet is a candyshop. Take the sweets.

But you can only sell sweets to those that are interested and want to buy.

And only if you present yourself in front of them.

Build traffic not multiple sites.

Yep, but we've all got loads of domains, anyone here able to design a hosting that we can use to auto creat mini sites??

you can do this easily yourself. Get a reseller hosting account that supports plesk (maybe cpanel supports this also) and create your mini site.

Then you create a master "skeleton" from your template.

Every domain you subsequently create will automatically have your mini site installed and you just need to tweak the logo.

It sounds simple, but in reality you spend more time arsing about with lots of little sites than building a concrete foundation.
