This could be innocent but then it could be a dodgy Nominet worker aswell :?

I rang Nominet today for advice and the guy dealing with me twice asked for my password, I couldn't believe what he said and told him there's no chance of me revealing that information, I am confident this would be against Nominet's own rules of conduct.

Like I said could be innocent but why ask knowing it's not information he should be requesting ?

Ive been asked for a password before, and when done, I was told to reset it.

havent spotted any of my fifteen pound domains missing lol

Very unprofessional, I will never give mine out regardless, thought he was f**king cheeky asking.
Don't give it out Caz !

Nominet staff tend to go that little bit extra to be helpful on occasions, maybe he was being a bit niave but look at it from his point of view and the amount of people that phone him without any clue what a Nominet account is or how it works. It's probably quicker for him to just log in and sort the problem.

Fair enough point GW, there probably are loads who are lost when using a Nominet account.

As long he is not trying to obtain others domains then all is good :)

Don't get me wrong, you might be right, just throwing up other options. At the end of the day you are right to be suspicious when someone asks for your full password.
