Hi Guys

I have decided to drop BestBusinessBroadband.net. I thought it would be good to have a discussion over whether I was right to drop it. I have my own views and reasons for dropping, which I will probably elaborate on later in the thread, but I would just like to invite comments from the forum. I guess it's a bit of a strategy discussion ...

Yes IMHO, no real reason just the 'best' and .net do not shine for me.

I've been doing a lot of "should i keep it or should i let it drop" just lately and haven't dwelled on any at all once they've gone.

Streamlining domains and cutting back "well I could develop it" or *someone* MIGHT buy it is good in this climate.

I did put this up for sale (very briefly) on Acorn recently but got no offers. Admittedly I haven't marketed it heavily for sale. My own view is that this is a very good domain for an affiliate site. However, what I have learnt is that very good affiliate domains rarely sell, so I now tend to drop them if I can't get the development done myself, as the renewal is just money down the drain and I have bigger fish to fry.

.net etc are not first choice for new companies? established ones you would suppose they’d have better already, They might go long tail to capture higher % of the market but if you believe gkt there are better ones available..?

Affiliate route there are names that offer higher chance of return unregistered.. Wouldn't loose any sleep over dropping it...
