I registered this a while ago, Is this domain a TM? How do you check if certain domains would be TM'd before you make the mistake of registering?

You can check for TM's on the ipo.gov.uk site here:

http://www.ipo.gov.uk/types/tm/t-os/t-find/tmtext.htm

Enter the word/s in the box and choose the search tpye, such as exact, or similar. Don't forget, even though something may not have a TM, they may have acquired rights to a term through use, also check the www.trademarkia.com site

It's synonymous with archive.org the Internet Archive

Are you hoping to develop it or sell it? can't imagine anyone will want to buy it.

Actual trade marks you can check http://www.ipo.gov.uk/types/tm/t-os/t-find/tmtext.htm but there are good faith marks as well. Wayback Machine would be good faith / goodwill built up, so they would win on that.

Search the forum for trademark, goodwill, good faith, each of those 3 searches should reveal alot.

If its in use by another massive site and its not generic, like waybackmachine its prob not good.

Screams cyber squatter coincidently European copyright laws e.g. only the content creator can decide where their content is published or duplicated you couldn’t even set up a version of it here without likely giving yourself a major headache …. First step is not if it’s a trademark with names like this is why you registered it in the first place
