I have just been playing around with some code and have created a domain and list generator that will turn lists of words into domains and generate sequences of domains.

Please see Domain Name Sequence Generator (DNSG)

I haven’t spent long on it, but would appreciate opinions on whether you feel this will be useful, bugs and layout etc. I haven’t focused on style as I have been working on the background script, but if you feel it will be useful then I’ll put more effort into it.

Thanks,
Alex

I’ve just been doing a bit more work on the site. It will now calculate every combination of domain name up to 10 characters long (500,000 limit so large combinations should be done in stages). I don’t know why anyone would want to go that high, but hopefully it will be useful for 3 and 4 character domains.

To create a list of every three letter domain, for example, simply input ‘aaa’ to field one, ‘zzz’ to field 2 and your domain extension to field 3. For four letters use ‘aaaa’ and ‘zzzz’ etc.

I have also done some more work with the list tool where you can input a list and it will add any domain extension to each word.

I hope this will be helpful to people and if you have any suggestions then I would like to hear them.

clever code - i like the ideal - the problem is you cant add words

so i want HOTEL + 999
i guess the clue is in the name "sequence" but if I think if i wanted to make use of it I would like the ability to add set words or numbers to parts of the sequence?

just a thought

Thanks for the suggestion. It shouldn't be too hard to implement that, in fact I was playing around with the idea, but focused on what is currently published. If I have time over the next few days I shall see what I can do.

Do you think this will be of use, or is it something that will probably not be used?

Any more suggestions appreciated and I will try to make the instructions easier to follow.
