Do people often pay to get their websites valued at the moment??

I'm sorry but I don't see that much potential in the domain, but at least it's a .com.

Well people are buying and selling websites all the time, so I believe there could be a demand for it. There are valuation services for virtually everything else that gets traded (property, art, etc), so why not websites?

Plus website owners are generally interested in how much their own website might be worth if it was sold. So I will probably hang on to the domain myself and try to develop some kind of valuation tool on it.

For the other sectors you mention, such as property, valuation tends to be free in return for an agent being allowed to sell the asset.

What's the point of developing if you can't charge for the service?

You'd be better off starting a site that sells websites and taking a cut, with any valuation being provided free. websitevaluations.com could be used to drive traffic to that site.

There are not key ingredients for a domain valuation as with others you mention .

Less scrupulous may go down the rip off irrelevant valuations for newbie’s and fools Basically add more zero's the higher you pay model? Good luck with getting even reg fee from those types? I wouldn’t waste your time non starter...
