Wanted: Website Review What Layout?

Hi there

As per a previous post here, i put some content on a domain name that i couldnt sell (halloween-games.co.uk).

I was quite happy with the amount of visitors it attracted especially so soon after i launched it. Please see image below for stats.

Its also made a decent amount of money via adsense and AW, so my aim is to try and make it better and gain higher rankings ready for next year.

The problem is i am having problems finding a design i like. The current one doesn't really do it for me. I have quickly bodged a design together tonight that i thought might be more user friendly (its not finished but i dont want to waste all my time on a design that turns out worse than the one already there lol)

Could you guys take a look and let me know what you think:-

current design for me all day
the ads stand out very well and are placed in the best place in my opinion. The header is a bit on the high side (too much depth) perhaps?
the blue just doesn't look right for a halloween themed site.

Thanks for that reply. I have been meaning to alter that logo to be honest.

As for the ads, i learnt a lesson big time. I didnt know there was some merchants on Affilliate window that were running deals on halloween costumes until the 27th October (The last orders were the 28th) so missed out on quite a bit of potential sales.

I will aim to make the changes over the coming weeks ready for next year.

And me. I'd kill the orange background on the main content area though - hard on the eyes.

Current layout here as well.
1. Fix the menu bar. It moves up when you go from Home to Halloween Games.
2. Add a favicon as well.
3. Pumpkin design section: Make the image links open in new window
