I was as integrated into Dutch society as they would allow me, but Dutch are tough when it comes to allowing outsiders into the inner circle. If you are English or American yer f@cked, Scottish or Irish or Australian, ye have an outside chance of being accepted, as long as the way you speak in fluent Dutch is funny to the locals.
