Advice pls , i'm in need of domain name , all the good exacts are taken....but i've come across a cheap name that might suit , but

this is just a example , lets pretend the ideal name was :-

domainforum.co.uk but of course its a small fortune....but domainforum.net is available at a cost !

but i can buy domainsforums.co.uk , it looks similar to domainforum.net , but its got poor exacts and not great broad either (purely made up )

so would the cheap and cheerful domainsforums.co.uk

subject to content etc , still rank well and be relevant enough for google when someone types in domain forum ? or would it be best to bite the bullet and buy the much more exspensive name ? which i'd rather not do , but would it be worth the extra cost in your opinions?

would the .net rank well enough in u.k google ? i know this can be set for more of a u.k focus.

my choice is 39 usd for the e.g of domainsforums.co.uk
or 1899 usd for e.g domainforum.net

what would you do ?

If it's UK focused I'd go with exampleforums.co.uk

I wouldn't pay $1899 for pretty much any .net, let alone a *forum domain. Personally, I'd totally rule that out as an option.

thank you , so would you say the forumSdomainS.co.uk would still be relevant within the search engines if :- forum domain was typed in or say forum domains ?

What is peoples view on using web master tools to target a uk audience?

I misread your post, sorry about that. I'd avoid going with a double-plural domain, they always sound really awkward and I'd suspect you'd lose a fair amount of returning traffic to other varients, exampleforum.co.uk, examplesforum.co.uk etc.

I would go with domainforum.net and like I said target it to the UK using googles webmaster tools.

Host it in the UK too and make sure your hosting gives you a UK ip. Then you should be fine ;)
