I am thinking about changing the name of an existing website I have a few good mobile domains, but wanted to know which you think I should use and why. I have been using the existing domain for over 7 years but these new domains are far better.

contractmobiles.com
contractmobilephones.com
contractmobilephone.co.uk
mobilecontract.co.uk

Thanks in advance

First or last because of length. First as a general purpose one or if you are focusing on the features of the handsets, last if you are focusing on the financial advantages of the deals.

Going by google monthly search volumes
The second has the most 1600
The fourth has 1000
The longer the domain the less exact match seems to come into play these days.
So maybe go with the fourth
Nice set of names though

contractmobiles.com, clear winner

Second choice would be mobilecontract.co.uk though im less keen on singular names

ContractMobiles is my first choice as its shorter and the majority of people are happy intermixing the word 'mobile(s) for mobile phone(s) so the domains with phone(s) is just an un-necessary word.

MobileContract is something completely different. Why would I want to buy a Contract for a Mobile? Or at least that's the way I interpret that keyword combination.

There is no way I'd be changing a 7 year old website over to any of those 4.

I don't think any of them are great domains. And it would take a great domain for me to want to take on the risks associated with moving an aged site. They're not particularly brandable, and they're not high value search phrases. If you want to move the site I'd be looking to move to a great brandable domain, or a great keyword domain... imho your 4 fall into a middle ground that isn't particularly appealing.

I'd have no problem developing any of those 4 from scratch... but I think its madness to move an established site to them.

ContractMobiles.com looks best but there is already a phone site already on the .co.uk. Is it yours or do you plan to acquire the .co.uk?

BTW, mobileoncontract says it better than mobilecontract.

Whenever Vodafone spam me with their marketing calls they always start with 'Are you happy with your current mobile contract?'
