As I'm a cheap-ass and don't want to pay for Whois queries, I was wondering if there is an alternative and free way of finding out site info please? I need the same info that Whois provides...

not sure what you mean by pay for it. go to nominet for a free single search whois query and there's a number of links you can find via google for bulk queries. believe there used to be one on this forum too.

alternatively you can always code yourself a simple script for bulk queries (just need to pay attention to the load limits imposed to avoid getting blocked)
