Does anyone know how to get around the 1000 whois checks per day for .co.uk domain names?

I know one way is to become a Nominet member, but is that the only way?

Is there a service to subscribe to for unlimited .co.uk whois checks?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Apart from changing your ip address every 1000 checks there is no other way without becoming a member.

Which element(s) of the whois result is (are) important to you? Is it just whether the domain is registered?

Yes I want to know if it is registered or not.

If the domain is registered, all I want to do is save the expiry date. I am not bothered about any other info from the whois
